MSE/CRC Folks Present Research at SPE ANTEC
St. Louis, MO, March 6, 2024




Professor David Harper of the Center for Renewable Carbon (CRC) at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture led a team of researchers to present their work at the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) Annual Technical Conference (ANTEC) in St. Louis. Pictured left to right are Melanie Moczadlo (MS student, MSE), Emma Howard (BS student, MSE), Cece Grubb (PhD student & Volkswagen fellow, MSE), Sanjita Wasti (PhD student, Mechanical Engineering) and Prof. Harper. Melanie, Emma & Cece conduct their research at CRC under the mentorship of Prof. Harper.


Cece Grubb received an Honorable Mention for her student poster titled, "Investigating the Effects of Shear Rate and Temperature on Injection Molding of Paper Fiber-Reinforced Polypropylene Composites". Cece enlisted the aid of several collaborators on this work including M. Mokhtarnejad, D.P. Harper, D.J. Keffer, M. Kardos, H. Mainka, J. Misasi and N. Hoekstra.

Congratulations to Cece on the recognition and to all the researchers who represented the University of Tennessee so well at SPE ANTEC this year.
