Materials Science & Engineering Industry Night Panel Knoxville, TN, November 13, 2023  In collaboration with the local student chapter of Material Advantage, the MSE department hosted "Industry Night" with a panel of five recent (amazing) UTK MSE alumni who are working in industry across the country.  At this event, the MSE mentoring programs, MSE for Me (freshmen) and MSE CaReS (sophomores, juniors and seniors) provided (i) social support, (ii) career support and (iii) nutritional support. We began with a taco bar before moving to a community conversation with the panel.  About twenty students and faculty attended. Our panelists took turns answering questions about how they were successful in finding and securing industrial internships and jobs. Thanks to all who attended. We deeply appreciate the generosity of our alumni, sharing their time and experiences with their alma mater. More photos on the Keffer research group site. |
