MSE Cultural Tours: The Philippines Knoxville, TN, November 2, 2023  Vincent Garcia and Carla Nocheseda are PhD students in the Materials Science & Engineering Department, who have traveled from the Philippines to Knoxville for their doctoral studies. Today, they delivered a seminar and shared sweet treats as part of the MSE Cultural Tours series featuring their home country.  They prepared a talk for the seminar in the IAMM auditorium.  Afterward, we gathered in the lobby for a group photo...  and a reception over traditional cupcakes made with purple yam, called ube ensaymada.
