UT Center for Materials Processing Summer Research Poster Session
Knoxville, TN, August 22, 2023

Three undergraduate researchers in the group co-advised by Professor David Harper in the Center for Renewable Carbon (CRC) at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture and Professor David Keffer in the Materials Science & Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee Knoxville presented their work at the UT Center for Materials Processing Summer Research Poster Session.

Kaelin Porter, a freshman(!) in the Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) department, presented research that she performed under the joint mentoring of Cotton Pekol, an MSE PhD student and Prof. David Harper in the Center for Renewable Carbon (CRC) at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. Her work examined the application of liquid crystal epoxy networks as shape memory polymers.

Jakob Scroggins, a junior in the Materials Science & Engineering department, presented research that he performed as part of his SULI experience at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. For more about Jakob's summer research, follow this link.

Michael Broud, a senior in the Materials Science & Engineering department, also presented research that he performed as part of his SULI experience at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. For more about Michael's summer research, follow this link.
