Computational Materials Research Retreat at the Norris Shooting Range

A group of computational materials researchers at the University of Tennessee spent Tuesday afternoon developing critical team-building skills at the Shooting Range in Norris Dam State Park.

Valerie García-Negrón, doctoral student in Materials Science & Engineering.


Bernadette Cladek, doctoral student in Materials Science & Engineering.


Zachary Sims, doctoral student in Energy Science & Engineering.




Everybody got a chance to shoot the .22 pistol, .22 revolver, .38 revolver & 9 mm pistol.


Then we moved to the rifle range.








Everybody knocked down shotgun shells at 50 yards.
