Meaning of Isopotential Surfaces
B. The Meaning of Isopotential surfaces

An isopotential surface is a contour plot in three-dimensions, connecting points of equal energy.
These surfaces separate regions of more energetic favorability (i.e. adsorption sites) from regions of less energetic favorability.
At low thresholds, the surfaces enclose the total accessible volume of the pore.
At high thresholds, the surfaces enclose the most favorable volumes (the adsorption sites) of the pore.
